Police Cite Man For Taking Revenge On Tree In Wisconsin

Unless something like what happened in the movie, "The Happening," came true, there is really no reason to be angry at trees. Try telling that to this Wisconsin man that was arrested for taking revenge on a tree in downtown La Crosse.

According to the La Crosse Tribune, police showed up to find a crowd of people gathered around a tree watching a man who had climbed up in it and was tearing limbs off of the tree's trunk.

He told police he was "paying the tree back."

[He] said he sought revenge on the tree because his friend two or three years ago fell from it and cracked his head open.

I think this guy might have some misplaced anger issues and might need to watch Fern Gulley a few times after his court appearance.
