News Crew Finds Man Asleep In His Truck Causing Traffic Jam On Georgia Highway

Today’s Dumb Criminal is yet another idiot falling asleep at the wheel. This guy caused a traffic jam after falling asleep in the middle of a highway and then hiting not one, but several cars after a highway worker woke him up and he tried to flee the scene.

According to WTSP, Rip Van Winkle here took a siesta in his truck in the middle of a highway. A TV news crew that was reporting the traffic jam caused by the non-moving car on the highway actually caught video of the guy “slumped over and drooling” behind the steering wheel of the truck.

A department of transportation worker woke the sleeping man up, a fight ensued and then our guy tried to feel the scene. He nearly hit the highway worker then crashed into two other cars causing a 5-car chain-reaction crash. Our villain then jumped out of his car, hopped a barbed wire fence and is still on the loose.

Thankfully no one was badly hurt and I’m guessing this guy will have plenty of time to catch up on sleep once he’s behind bars.
