noparkingWhen you show up to court for a DUI, taking a parking spot reserved for a judge is probably not a good idea. Also, driving to the courthouse with a suspended license probably wouldn’t help you case at all either. But that’s exactly what an Illinois man did.

According to The News-Gazette, this 28-year-old man was scheduled to appear in court for an aggravated DUI hearing. Our guy showed up and parked in a parking spot reserved for one of the judges at the court. Probably not a smart move.

Security tracked him down in the courtroom and told him he had to go move his car. He went and did and police watched him, but they then checked his driver’s license, only to find out that because of his DU, had been suspended.

All-in-all, this was not this guy’s best day ever. He pleaded guilty to the DUI and received 90-daysi jail, 2-years probation and a $2,250 fine. After that he received a new ticket for driving without a license and was taken to jail. And to top it off, he also received a hefty parking tickets for parking in the judge’s spot.
