Stealing from a store is probably not the best way to try and get a job there. A Chicago man was busted after he applied for a job at a sporting goods store and then decided to steal a handful of merchandise from the store.

According to the Des Moines Register, the 18-year-old walked into the store to turn in his completed job application. He then decided to steal a shirt, a hoodie, and a hat, all worth about $150.

That seems dumb enough to make my list, but listen to how our guy got caught. Police and the store manager reviewed the security footage and saved themselves a little footwork by calling the guy in for a job interview!

He showed up and was arrested on the spot and now faces charges of "fifth-degree theft and interference with official acts" (That one was for refusing to be handcuffed).

I think we can all safely assume that he didn't get the job either.
