I know a lot of people that use fake names when they visit adult-video stores. But not this would-be robber.

In Florida, a 17-year-old was talked out of robbing 'Cupid's Corner' by the store clerk. She even convinced him to fill out a job application..using his real name.

Not all criminals get caught, but the dumb ones always do.The story goes down like this, according to 'Today': Our crook showed up to the adult video store with a loaded gun and tried to shake down the clerk for all the money in the place.

The woman working was a 32-year-old mother of four. She didn't want to loose her life and she didn't want the teen to throw his life away either. So, she spent 20-minutes talking him out of the robbery. She convinced him to remove the bullets from his gun and even shared a cigarette and a hug with the troubled boy. She even told him that she might have a job for him and convinced the kid to fill out a job application.

The clerk told the kid she needed a soda form the convenience store next door left the store. She then called police, but the boy was gone before they arrived. However, he wasn't too tough to track down.

Yes, boy-wonder tried to rob a woman at gunpoint and then used his real information to fill out a job application for her 20 minutes later.

Stay in school kids...stay in school.
