Armed Robber Thwarted By 96-Year-Old Grocery Store Clerk

Even at the age of 96, a Wisconsin woman proved that she can stand up to a cowardly crook.  

According to WKOW, Margaretta Wolf has owned Wolf's Grocery Store in Marshfield, Wisconsin for 50 years. Last week a masked-man walked in the place and demanded that she give him cash.

Her reply:

I'm not opening up that cash register and that's it. I'm not opening it. You can have all the Tootsie Rolls you want but I am not opening that cash register.

Then the robber flashed her his pocketknife. (A devastatingly scary a 3-inch pocketknife.)Wolf stood firm and told the crook she'd call the cops. Then he noticed a security camera, took his knife, and left.

This woman might just be my new hero.
