If someone steals a video camera, one thing they should never do is use the camera to take video of their own face while introducing them self and giving a tour of their house while saying they’re using a stolen camera.

That’s just what a Wisconsin crook did, and the victim got to post the dumb crook’s “confession” on YouTube.

Look, breaking into a someone else’s car is a pretty crummy thing to do. But doing it in front of a surveillance camera is just plain stupid. That’s how this guy got caught.

But once police apprehended him and returned the property he stole (which included a video camera) the owner found a handful of videos on the camera taken by the crook. Including this doozy in which the crook states his name, shows his face and his girlfriend.

This is my house, yes, and a stolen camera that I stole. But it's okay, the cops won't figure it out.

Well, he was wrong on that one. And to make his own matters worse, near the end of the video he actually introduces himself.

Oh yeah, to introduce you, my name is Houaka Yang. So yeah, how do you do?

And then turned the camera to capture his own glowing smile. Check it out.

Our dumb-as-rocks crook was charged with two counts of being party to misdemeanor theft and one misdemeanor count of carrying a concealed weapon.
