If you’ve ever been to Times Square in New York, you’ve probably seen costumed superheroes posing with tourists for tips. There are tons of them.

But one man, dressed as Spider-Man allegedly punched a woman after she took a picture of him with her kids and said she didn’t have any money. And in court Spidey tried to say that he punched her in self-defense.

According to the New York Post, the 35-year-old costumed superhero took a picture with this 44-year-old woman’s kids. After taking the picture she told Spidey that she didn’t have any money.

His response was to say “You’re crap!” And then he allegedly punched her. The woman got away and then threw a juicy snowball at Spider-Man and brought her husband over who tried to throttle Spidey with his backpack.

I wonder if his Spidey-Sense was tingling?

Police showed up and stopped the altercation before it got too bad. But in court, Spidey’s lawyer insisted that his punch was in self-defense.
