A man “attempted” to rob a taxi cab driver, but was thwarted when he the driver held his ground and the crook fled, leaving his own wallet in the victim’s car.

Only in Florida…

According to the Volusia Country Sheriff’s Office, the 42-year-old suspect got into a taxi around 4 in the morning. He faked feeling carsick and asked to sit up front with the driver. Once he reached his destination he reached over and tried to steal the driver’s wallet and cell phone on his way out of the car. The driver clung to his possessions and took a couple punches to the face, but the crook fled the vehicle empty-handed.

Oopsie! During the scuffle the would-be thief dropped his own wallet in the cab. A wallet the police used to track down his home.

And then his karmic-luck came into play. Our crook was driving home about the same time as police were knocking on his door and he was also charged for driving with a suspended license.
