Man Tries To Rob Starbucks, Leaves After Receiving Free Coffee

Some criminals don’t rob places because they need money, some must just do it because they have nothing better to do. At least that’s what it seems this Alabama man did. He tried to rob a Starbucks, but walked away with nothing but a free cup of coffee.

This story comes to us from AL.com, apparently our guy walked into a Starbucks Coffee on Sunday morning and demanded that the barista hand over “all the cash.” But this quick-witted coffee-maker told the robber that he simply couldn't open the register and offered the crook a free coffee instead.

And it worked.

Our would-be crook took the cup of Joe and left the store. Shortly thereafter, he was apprehended in a nearby parking lot.

Seriously!? This is basically what went down?

“Gimme all your money.”

“Sorry man, I can’t open the drawer, have a coffee.”

“Cool, thanks anyway.”

I wish more crimes could be thwarted that easily.
