Here’s a story that won’t be turned into a made-for-TV movie anytime soon. A Pennsylvania man robbed a bank, on purpose, to steal one measly dollar.

According to Metro, the 50-year-old man entered the bank and handed one of the tellers a note that read,

Federal bank robbery. Please hand over $1.00.

Then he handed the teller a second note that read,

FBI custody. Preferably Loretto Pa. No press. Seal all files.

The bank employee thought the robbery was a joke, but the robber confirmed his intentions and the teller eventually handed him a dollar and called police.

Then the crook happily waited for police to come arrest him. Investigators think he had some motive for getting in a specific central Pennsylvania prison, but they have no idea why.

The guy was ordered to have a mental exam and post $50,000 bond before being released.

Stealing a dollar because you want to get in to prison?

I just don't understand people sometimes.
