Today’s dumb criminal story goes beyond stupidity, this is downright despicable. A man in New York was arrested after he admitted to posing as a Red Cross worker trying to help people and instead, was looting empty houses.

According to the Huffington Post, the 49-year-old man was approached by police while checking out some damaged homes.

Officials say Manzo claimed to be a volunteer for the Red Cross, but didn't have any documentation. He was arrested on charges of burglary and criminal impersonation of a public servant.

He also faces drug charges for the methadone he had in his pocket. This guy is no stranger to crime either; he has been arrested 28 times since 1984. (TWENTY -EIGHT times!)

There are thousands of people who may have lost loved ones, lost their homes, and/or lost everything in the massive storm and this guy starts wandering through their homes trying to score some free TVs?! What a jerk.
