Dumb Criminal of the Day: Woman Calls 911 To Get Refund From Crooked Crack Dealer

I can't count how many stories like this I've read, but every time I still laugh at how ridiculous people can be. Look, if your illegal drug dealer shorts you and steals your money, calling 911 will not solve your problems. In fact, it might just make things worse for you. Case in point: 47-year-old Suzanne Basham of Missouri.

According to KTLA She allegedly paid $40 to a local dealer in hopes of scoring some crack cocaine. The wily dealer took her money and gave her a bag sugar instead. Obviously, Basham was not happy and decided to call 911 and get the police involved. She wanted the dealer arrested for theft and to get her money back.

Police did show up at the house where the woman claimed the sugar-switch went down, but he residents said they hadn’t sold the woman anything and refused the officers entry to their home. Not much the police can do after that.

They did however site Basham for possession of drug paraphernalia as she had a crack pipe on her when police showed up.

KTLA described the story best as “brilliantly ridiculous."
