Dumb Criminal of the Day: Robber Hands His Gun to Teller, Foils Own Robbery

A bank robber in London foiled his own robbery by handing a teller his own gun.

You might think there is more to this story, but no. The guy just panicked and handed the bank teller his gun instead of a bag to put money in. I guess some people really aren't cut out to be criminals.

The man allegedly entered the bank weraing a pair of sunglasses and a hat. He demanded 700,000 pounds (Nearly $1.1 million USD) from the teller while brandishing a firearm.

I can only assume the next step in his plan was to hand the teller a sack for the cash, but  he accidentally handed the gun to her instead. Once that happened the bank employees jumped to action and activated their alarms and the now unarmed robber took off.

The Telegraph reports that police (who are still looking for the man) said he "not the sharpest tool in the box."

Surely, an understatement.
