Bumbling Thieves Thwarted By Braying Getaway Donkey

Three Columbian men decided they were going to rob a small village shop. The biggest problem with their plan was their getaway. They tried to use a 10-year old donkey they had stolen earlier that day as a getaway ride.

As you can guess, things didn’t end well for the thieves.

According to the Daily Mail, the trio entered the shop through the roof and stole everything they could pack on the donkey. But as they tried to make their getaway the donkey starting braying and making all kinds of noise which alerted police. The robbers got away, but they left all of the stolen loot still packed on the donkey.

The donkey was held at a police station for 12 hours until they found his owner and notified him to come pick him up.

Note to self, remember to sue use getaway car, not getaway donkey.
