Paws and Sneakers 5k Celebrates 30 Years!

The Humane Society of Weld County celebrates 30 years of Paws and Sneakers this June 23rd. For 30 years, the Humane Society of Weld County has hosted its Paws and Sneakers 5k to help all the animals of their shelter find loving new homes and not to feel lost and unwanted anymore! It's one of their many fantastic fundraisers they do year round to try to help not only bring in the much needed donations for the shelter but to also help give all the animals that need homes get as much exposure as they need.

Paws and Sneakers is planned for Saturday, June 23rd and starts at 9am with check-in beginning at 8am. The 5k walk & fun run goes around the popular and gorgeous Boardwalk Park in Windsor, 100 N. 5th Street. Not only is this a gorgeous track to walk/run around, but you can also enjoy it with your four legged family member! If you don't currently have a furry friend but still want to participate, you can do the 5k with a dog from the shelter! Not only do you help by doing the 5k, but you can help a shelter pet get out and enjoy a great day with you!
