Labor Day weekend in Colorado includes Windsor bringing its annual Harvest Festival; with that, comes the annual hot air balloon rally, known as the "Picture the Sky" Balloon Rally.

Gather the gang and get them up early to head into Windsor to see the wonder of hot air ballooning.

The Harvest Festival is Windsor's biggest event of the year, and the hot air balloons are a big part of it.

Hot Air Balloons Coming to Windsor, Colorado

Upwards of 30 pilots will be bringing their aircrafts to Windsor, Colorado, for the annual balloon rally during Labor Day Weekend; fun, adventure, and majestic-ness, all wrapped into two days, of the three day event.

Thousands of people will be coming to the annual Windsor Harvest Festival, August 31- September 2, 2024.

There'll be a ton of vendors, tons of food, lots of live music (including the kickoff Street Dance) the beer garden, the All-Town Barbecue, a pancake breakfast, a pie eating contest, a vintage baseball game, a car show, fireworks, the big parade, and more, including the beloved hot air balloon rally.

Be sure to leave your pets at home for this balloon rally, as the sound of the burners can frighten them and cause damage to their ears, but kids and cameras are more than welcome. Also, be sure to say, "Thanks" to those pilots that come out for the event; it's a lot of work.
