Why buy a fancy new house in Fort Collins when you can use that money to buy an entire ghost town in Colorado?

Cabin Creek, Colorado, on U.S. 36 near Byers sits on 5 acres of land and includes an old gas station, 8-room motel, large garage, roadside cafe, an 8-space RV park, 2 houses, and a private shooting range. Denver7 says the property is on the market for just $350,000 - only $25,000 shy of the average price for a single-family Fort Collins home in the year 2014.

The ghost town was listed for sale on Craigslist, where the owner says he's installed new electric panels, new wiring, and an updated well and sewer, though admitting the property needs more work.

New owners of Cabin Creek would get to enjoy plenty of privacy, as most neighbors are "hundreds of acres away," as well as an easy 45-minute commute to Denver.
