One of the hot air balloon festivals in Colorado is celebrating nearly 50 years. If you're looking for beauty and fun, this is one to put on the calendar.

South of Glenwood Springs and north of Aspen lies Snowmass Village. For the last official weekend of summer for 2024, it will be the place to be for some of the most beautiful hot air balloons.

Snowmass Ski Resort dates back to its opening in 1967; in 1975, they began one of Colorado's most anticipated and most beautiful hot air balloon events. Will this be the year that you check it out?

There's no question that Snowmass can cost you a lot of money to ski at, as it is at any of the four mountains around Aspen, but how about going for a free event? Load up the car, the kids, and the taste for a road-tripping adventure to annual Snowmass Balloon Festival.

The event will have over 30 fun and gorgeous hot air balloons lifting off each morning and other events throughout the three-day festival.
