The Denver City Council has "paused" a deal that was in the works to renew the lease of a Chick-fil-A at the Denver International Airport, due to the companies religious beliefs. According to KOAA, the Business Development Committee, put a hold on the deal that would have renewed the chains lease for another seven-years. The stall is a result of Chick-fil-A's open stance in opposition to same sex marriage, that is strongly rooted in the companies religious beliefs. If you're not aware, Chick-fil-A's business model is strongly rooted in Christian ideology, so much so, that they are even closed on Sundays in observation of the Sabbath.

What do you think? Does the City Council have the right to stop a business from doing so due to religious beliefs? Or do they have the right to essentially "refuse service" from Chick-fil-A? Or, do they not have the right to do so, since the building is a publicly funded facility, and does this infringe on the companies rights?
