Fort Collins Motorcyclist Dies in Monday Night Collision
Fort Collins police responded to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred Monday night.
According to a news release, the 23-year-old man was driving his motorcycle in the 1800 block of South College Avenue when he lost control and ran into a planter box. Police responded to the call at 10:44 p.m., and the motorcyclist was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies where he succumbed to his injuries.
The crash caused southbound College Avenue to close down for about 4 1/2 hours as the Fort Collins Police CRASH Team investigated the incident.
Speed is believed to have been a contributing factor.
