This is a story that seems to be straight from a movie. A man's wife goes into labor, he calls 911 then speeds to the hospital. Pretty normal until you find out that a cop clocks him doing 102 in a 55, pursues him in order to pull him over. It kind of turns in to a chase, but then after the officer learns what is going on he escorts them to the hospital. Their son is born 6 minutes after they arrive and the officer congratulates them, then issues them a speeding ticket. Now here is where I am torn. I understand why he issued the ticket, I mean he did endanger his wife and public by going 102 in a 55. But can you blame him? His wife is probably screaming in the back seat and he is freaking out. Now I don't know a whole lot about child birth but from what I understand it is stressful on the dad, and we all know it is for the mom. That being said I can understand speeding a little... 102 seems a bit much. At least all is well and the family intends to fight it in court. Good Luck with that.
