New Belgium Brewery's 14th annual Tour De Fat will return to Fort Collins on August 31st, 2013. (I wonder if we'll be able to top last year's 21,000 participants?)

Take a stroll down memory lane and check out some of the photos we've taken over the past five years hanging out at the annual Tour De Fat bike parade.

This is always one of my favorite events of the year; I love our breweries, I love bikes, and I love dressing up. I am sad that I might have to miss the 2013 festivities though. I have a 1 1/2-year-old and a sister's wedding to attend the day of the fun so might not be there snapping pictures this year. (If only I had an intern photog I could send out in my stead...)

Tour de Fat rookies and veterans alike are encouraged to grab a bike and join [New Belgium] for a whimsical day of entertainment and two-wheeled revelry, all while raising money for Overland Mountain Bike Club, Bike Fort Collins and Fort Collins Bike Co-op.

For those who haven’t experienced Tour de Fat, it is a thrilling rite of passage that includes an unparalleled costumed bicycle parade, New Belgium beer, eccentric entertainment, local food, unusual bike contests and much more.
