Fort Collins Brewery Offered Free Beer for Furloughed Employees
The government shutdown hasn't been easy for anyone with a federal job, and recent reports showed that over 600 Colorado employees had filed for unemployment.
Colorado businesses are eager to show federal workers that they support them during this tough time, including New Belgium, a brewery that began in our own backyard.
New Belgium posted the following on their Facebook page:
"Furloughed? Swing by our Asheville or Fort Collins Liquid Centers this weekend, show your government employee ID, and your first Fat Tire is on us!
New Belgium isn't the only company who offered freebies to Colorado workers: according to 9News, museums, restaurants, and more are offering deals for those who are not working thanks to the shutdown.
Cheers to these businesses supporting our Colorado federal workers!
