Join me Thursday, November 13, for my first "Goldberg's Date Night" as we "Paint With the Point" at Pinot's Palette in Fort Collins.

As the kiddos head out for a night of Trick-or-Treating, you decide to stay home with a couple of friends and a bottle of wine. Here's to perfectly paired wines with Halloween candy.

A big lovely bubble bath, a candle and big beautiful glass of wine. Sounds like a movie scene, or is it reality? Apparently a lot of people are drinking wine in the bathtub. Enough so, that there is need for this nifty little gadget called Wine Time from Jimmy Hook...

Creativity at work here.  Who knew wine glasses and cooking pans could be so useful? This guy covered the hit song "Happy" using only wine glasses and cooking pans!  This is great!  And he didn't even break a glass. Well done sir, well done...

If 5 years ago, someone had told me to try a boxed wine, I would have laughed in their face remembering that one time I tried that horrible pink liquid titled White Zinfandel, from a Franzia box. It burned my mouth and hurt my stomach upon impact...

Say it ain't so! We're apparently right in the middle of one of the biggest global wine shortages in 50 years!

Did you know Colorado boasts a great selection of wines made on the western slope? It's nestled in the Grand Valley area of Colorado (Which contains Grand Junction, Palisade and Fruita). Just a 4-5 hour drive from Fort Collins will put you smack dab in the middle of Colorado Wine County and a plethora of wineries and meaderies as well as a brewery and a distillery.

Amazon is drunk with anticipation, as this week the Internet giant officially launched its new wine marketplace—a feat far easier to conceptualize than to implement, due to all the regulations surrounding online alcohol sales.

This Friday join 99.9 The Point for the 30th Annual Wine Fest! It's a fun night of wines, foods, beers, door prizes, a silent auction and it benefits Disabled Resource Services. I have to admit, a coffee shop is probably the last place I would think to go after work to unwind with a cold beer.  But it looks like Starbucks is out to shatter my perceptions.  The giant coffee shop chain plans to start selling wine and beer at select locations in Atlanta, Chicago, and Southern California test markets by the end of this year.

Maynard James Keenan, of the band Tool, created his own wine (I just watched a documentary about that this past weekend). Now the band Train could be following suit. The boys in Train are supposedly in the process of creating their own fermented beverage.

I don't collect much, but I do really love tiny glasses.  Mostly I use these to drink wine.  I gave up stemware after too many "oops" moments and because we have a lot of backyard outings in the summer and using old jars to drink out of seems to fit the theme...
