I have to admit, a coffee shop is probably the last place I would think to go after work to unwind with a cold beer.  But it looks like Starbucks is out to shatter my perceptions.  The giant coffee shop chain plans to start selling wine and beer at select locations in Atlanta, Chicago, and Southern California test markets by the end of this year.

"As our customers transition from work to home, many are looking for a warm and inviting place to unwind and connect with the people they care about," Clarice Turner, Starbucks' senior vice president of U.S. operations, said in a news release.

I don't know about this.  "Hey, let's grab a glass of wine at...Starbucks?"  It just seems weird to me.  Starbucks has carved out a pretty clear niche being everyone's go-to coffee provider; and I'm just not sure beer and wine factor into their winning formula very well.  Though, I suppose crazier things have happened.  What do you think?
