When Does Elitch Gardens Theme Park in Denver Open for 2013?
Denver, Colorado is home to one of my most beloved childhood memories, Elitch Gardens. Just when is the opening date for the theme park's 2013 season? Along with all of its rides, roller coasters, shows and water park?For 2013 Elitches will be open May 4th through October 27th. Opening weekend hours at the park are 10AM-8PM on Saturday May 4th and 10AM-7PM on Sunday May 5th. (The first few weeks of operation they are only open certain days, they will start being open seven days a week after May 22nd, 2013.) Click here to see their entire operational calendar.
The theme park opens it's gates on May 4th, but the water park portion does not open until May 25th.
Last year, three new rides were unveiled at the park; the Tube Top was added to the water park, while the Rockin’Tug and Tike Bikes were added to KiddieLand. We'll have to wait and see if there is anything new coming to the park this year.
Believe it or not, Elitch Gardens first opened their gates back in 1890. And it was known as 'Six Flags Elitch Gardens' from 1998-2007. Picture from ElitchGardens.com.
