Tuition Raise Coming To Colorado State University Next Year

In-State Tuition for students attending Colorado State University are going to see an increase next year.

A 5 percent increase to be exact for in-state students next school year.

The Fort Collins Coloradoan reported that the university Board of Governors approved the higher charges last week.

Here's a look at the numbers:

An in-state student taking 12 credit-hours will pay about $7,870, up $374.

An out-of-state student taking on the same amount of credit hours will pay about $24,000, an increase of 3 percent.

CSU says this latest increase is smaller than those that have been proposed by Michigan State, the University of California-Davis, Washington State and the University of Illinois.

In Boulder, The University of Colorado be charging about $9,000 for full-time, in-state undergraduate tuition next year.
