This Blows: Biggest Wind Gusts In Colorado From Yesterday
Someone needs to please close the door to Wyoming because the winds have come charging down here to Colorado and wreaked some serious havoc all over our state on Tuesday. And today doesn't look to be much better and could actually get worse when it's all said and done.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning along with a red flag warning again today for pretty much all of Northern Colorado until late tonight.
We all need to be extra vigilant when it comes to fire safety because the smallest of sparks could start something really big and dangerous with the winds and the dry conditions, so please be safe and aware.
Here is a little recap of some of the highest wind speeds recorded yesterday in Colorado.
For us here in Northern Colorado, we had wind gusts recorded up to 50 mph on and up to 70 mph along Highway 14 through Poudre Canyon.
It was and will continue to be a challenge for travel over the next couple of days, especially for high profile vehicles, this was the scene yesterday on I-25 between Wellington and the Wyoming border.
