Colorado Eagles Fans Are The Best In Hockey

Thinking back on my childhood, the very first hockey game I ever attended was a Denver Grizzlies game at the old McNichils Arena. It was the only Grizzlies game I ever went to because the very next year the Colorado Avalanche would come rolling into Colorado and bring our state its very first championship.

With the Avs on fire, hockey exploded in Colorado and everybody wanted a piece of that sweet Avs action. Roller Hockey, rec ice hockey, street hockey, everybody wanted to be the next Joe Sakic. In 2003, with the birth of the (then) Budweiser Events Center, the Colorado Eagles' storied history began...

Why Are Colorado Eagles Fans The Very Best?

From day one, Northern Colorado was on the Eagles Hockey train and it has grown into one of the biggest fall, winter, and springtime traditions in the state. With a packed barn every single home game, the love and loyalty from Eagles Country for their team is hard to beat.

Not just the fact that they sell out all of their games, or that it's an arena that opposing teams hate playing in because it's so loud, but because we're not even truly fans at all... We're a family.

Eagles games are more than just a sporting event. Every October is like one giant family reunion. Having been a part of the fun with the Eagles for over a decade, and having become close friends with so many Eagles fanatics, I look forward to opening night, and I dread the goodbyes like we had on Sunday night...

The power and the love felt in Eagles Country is so profound and special, that when the season is over, you can't help but be sad. As I watched that fluke goal find its way passed Prosvetov, my heart sank. Just like that, it was over until fall...

Walking through the concourse with the fans, saying our goodbyes for the season that had so much promise is miserable. I, along with so many others, was not ready to say goodbye to the 2023-24 Eagles season.

In case I didn't get to give you a proper goodbye on Sunday, I wanted to make sure you knew how much I appreciate you. Eagles Country is a ride-or-die fanbase and is truly unmatched. You bring it every single game, and as a team, we're so incredibly lucky to have you as a part of our extended family.

On behalf of myself, the entire Colorado Eagles organization, and all of us here at 99.9 The Point and Townsquare Media, thank you for another incredible season, on and off of the ice.
