Colorado Getting An Applebee’s & IHOP Combo Restaurant?

In what feels like the perfect match for those couples or families that can't decide on what to eat, Applebee's and IHOP are teaming up to create a combo restaurant like we've never experienced. Should we push to get on in Colorado?

IHOP & Applebee's Combination Restaurants Coming In 2025

When you think of breakfast restaurants, one that will almost always come to mind in IHOP.

I for whatever reason remember my Uncle taking my family out for breakfast there around the holidays when I was a kid. Loved those breakfast pigs in a blanket!

We didn't get to go often but when we did get to go and eat there, it was awesome because their breakfast was on the hook. Still is.

As far as Applebee's goes, we had one pretty close to the area we grew up in so we'd frequently dine there.

I remember really liking one of their giant Applebee's platter plates, and our server letting us buy it and take it home. Some of us were weird kids, what can I say?

Now in 2024, both of those iconic brands are owned by the same parent company, and they want those kids to play together under one roof, which means something amazing is about to happen...

Where Is The First Applebee's and IHOP Combo Restaurant?

Dine Brands, which is the company that owns both restaurant chains, announced plans to open its first "duel-branded" Applebee's and IHOP location in Seguin, Texas, which is less than an hour from San Antonio, just after the new year.

Regarding the new combination locations, Dine Brand CEO, John Peyton, said:

With two brands under one roof, it allows IHOP to shine in the morning and Applebee’s to thrive in [the] afternoons and evenings. The menu leverages each brand’s unique offerings to maximize dayparts and provide more choices, variety, and value to guests.

No word yet on when or if this combo strategy is expected to expand to other states around the country, but we'd gladly take one in Colorado. In the meantime, check out some of the fantastic local dining options around Colorado...

After opening in 2008, Las Palmeras Mexican Restaurant has become one of the area's very best locally-owned places to get delicious, and authentic Mexican food. We found this place by accident years ago while driving hungry down Main Street in Longmont and have been regulars ever since.

The owner, the staff, the food, and the drinks are all top notch and that's what makes this one of Colorado's top choices for delicious Mexican food. It's also a perfect place to watch sports!
