A while back we warned you that Harmony Road in Fort Collins would be closed for up to five days to fix the railroad crossing just west of Timberline Road. Well, we now have dates for the closure and it will only last four days, if all goes as planned.

If you regular travel on Prospect Road in Fort Collins, you might want to start planning your alternate routes. Starting March 4, Prospect will be fully closed on either side of the BNSF railroad tracks, between College Avenue and Centre Avenue and the closure is scheduled to last 6 weeks.
Why the big shutdown?
If you drive on Highway 257 in Windsor, you might be in for a few delays and possibly, a few headaches this week. Starting tomorrow highway 257 will be closed in both directions south of highway 392 for repairs to the railroad crossings.
How long will the closure last?

According to the Denver Post, the road is closed for the season as of today, Wednesday October 17th, 2012, ten days earlier that the road closed last year and its earliest closing in more than 10 years.
The Great West Railroad Company will be repairing railroad crossings in Windsor, which means road closures and traffic delays along Highway 257 and Eastman Park Drive.

Paving work will prompt closures and delays on Taft Hill Road from Horsetooth Road to Drake Road this week. One lane of traffic in each direction, northbound and southbound, will be open for travel throughout construction, but motorists can expect delays.

The Coloradoan is reporting that Highway 392 at I-25 (The Windsor exit) will be CLOSED today until 5pm for paving operations on the new interchange. Drivers on 392 should expect significant delays and plan to use alternate routes.
