If you drive on Highway 257 in Windsor, you might be in for a few delays and possibly, a few headaches this week. Starting tomorrow highway 257 will be closed in both directions south of highway 392 for repairs to the railroad crossings.

How long will the closure last?

Hopefully just two days, but maybe until Friday.

According to the Town of Windsor, they are working with Great Western Railway to make improvements on the rail crossings on highway 257 between Chestnut and Walnut streets., will be making improvements to the rail crossing of Hwy 257 between Chestnut and Walnut streets and will have the highway closed starting Monday November 26th through Wednesday November 28th.

However, the Coloradoan is reporting a few minor differences. They say the full-closure will be in place starting tomorrow from Highway 392 to Garden Drive and will be in-effect until the repairs are completed, which could be as late as Friday.

And, as of right now CDOT has no additional info posted on their website (That I can find).

Detours will be put in place and drivers will be directed to 1st street to get around the repairs. (See the detour map here.)

I don't know about you, but I think I'll plan on trying to just avoid that area in general until the construction is done.
