5 Things I Ate As A Kid (I Hope My Daughter Doesn’t Take After Me)
So, I was perusing the news and found this story about a kid in Russia that had to have 42 refrigerator magnets removed from his stomach. I hope the little guy is okay after all that, but it reminded me how badly I do not want my daughter to take after me in certain areas. Namely, swallowing things. Here are five of the more memorable things I swallowed and/or choked on as a wee one.

It seems like moms usually get the spotlight in many of the parenting parody videos, but this time Mom just did the directing. Check out 'I'm A Daddy And I Know It' below. It's a parody of LMFAO's 'Sexy and I Know It' and it is hilarious. If you know any dad's make sure you share it with them for a good chuckle.

Beano’s 10 Favorite Kids Books Not Written by Dr. Seuss
Books. They've been around for centuries and they'll be around for centuries more (even if they are downloaded on touch screen tablets instead of printed on paper). Reading to children is one of the most important things a parent can do for their child. I rememb...

6 Infant Deaths Lead Larimer & Weld County Health Officials To Say ‘No’ To Co-Sleeping
I just read an article in the Coloradoan saying that a string of infant suffocations has led Northern Colorado health officials to warn parents not to sleep in the same bed with their babies. (Co-sleeping as many call it.) However, many parents think that co-sleeping is an integral part of creating a strong bond with their kids. I can see health officials wanting kids to be safe, and I can see parents who believe in co-sleeping being upset that health officials are saying they are being "unsafe parents." The debate is on.

Do you let your child have a television in their bedroom? You might be setting them up for a life of obesity. New research says that a TV in a kid’s bedroom raises their risk of being obese and doubles their risk of having high levels of fat mass compared to kids without bedroom TVs.

Have You (Or Would You) Ever Punish your Kids Via Social Media [VIDEO & POLL]
I just saw the video below on CNN about parent's punishing their kids via social media. I think it is a brilliant idea! So long as what mom or dad does as punishment is a fitting response to what the child did. I could easily see some parents going way overboard and creating much worse problems for their child by trying to teach them a public lesson.

‘World’s Best Father’ Documents Hilarious Scenes With Daughter
Not long after photographer Dave Engledow's daughter Bree was born in 2010 he got a novelty "World's Best Father" mug. But the first-time dad didn't always feel like he was completely on top of the whole fatherhood thing. So to express his constant bewilderment he set up a funny picture of himself absent-mindedly squirting bottle milk into that very coffee-filled World's Best Father mug

I love spoofs on the mundane hilarious aspects of parenting. My husband and I laugh at ourselves(when we remember too) about the things that now fill our days and the words that come out of our mouths. This video captures it well!
