According to the Coloradoan, Fort Collins will be opening two more public parks on Thursday. Where are they being built? Both new parks will be located in south Fort Collins; Water’s Way Park is located southwest of of Trilby Road and Lemay Avenue and Registry Park is southwest of Trilby Road and Shields Street.

Both parks are already "open" but the city will christen them with official grand openings next Thursday.

While the parks have common elements — such as playgrounds, restrooms, picnic shelters and basketball courts — they offer unique features as well.

Water's Way Park will have a, you guessed it, water theme. While Registry Park will have a nautical theme meant to resemble a small fishing village. You can see video of both parks HERE from the Coloradoan. And get more info about the Parks HERE from the City of Fort Collins.

And there is another park slated to open in the spring of 2013 called Radiant Park, that one will be south of Kechter Road just west of Zach Elementary.

I always loved parks as a kid. Heck, I still love parks as an adult. I think my wife and I realized we were ready for a kid the day we repeatedly took our corgis down the swirly slide at our neighborhood park.
