The "Strongest Man on Earth" competition is set to take place this weekend in Colorado, drawing elite strongman athletes from around the world, including Colorado's own Brian Shaw, who will be hosting this year's event.

It's all going down both this Saturday and Sunday and will feature some of the world's strongest individuals competing in a series of grueling events designed to test their physical strengths, with only one man standing at the end.

Many amazing strongman events that you'll see this weekend like lifting cars and pulling huge trucks. Deadlifting massive oversized tires, and many other unique challenges that will test these super-sized competitors' versatility and overall strength.

I've personally never seen a strongman competition live before, but I've seen them on TV and they look like an absolute blast. I showed my son some videos of some of the competitors and he was blown away. These events are touted to be fun for the entire family, and from what it sounds like, this weekend will be just that.

There are two events this weekend at the Blue Arena in Loveland, Colorado, but both will be completely different. Half of the events will take place on Saturday starting at 1 pm, with the second half, including the crowning of the Strongest Man on Earth, will take place on Sunday at 1 pm.

Tickets for both events, as well as weekend passes, are still available at BlueFCUArena.com or the Blue Arena Box Office. And while Brian Shaw might be retired, as the host of this year's event, who knows when he drops the mic and shows these other strongmen why he is the reigning Strongest Man on Earth!

This is the opposite of working out and being in shape, but did you see who just opened up this week??

Krispy Kreme Opens in Northern Colorado

It was in January of 2023, that Krispy Kreme announced they'd be breaking ground on a new location, the first for Northern Colorado, by March of that year; by the summer of the following year, where there was once a Fazoli's Italian restaurant, there was Krispy Kreme.

Here it is only August, and so far in 2024 Colorado residents have reported a total of 41 UFO sightings to the National UFO Reporting Center.

Look at the gallery below and you'll see a few examples of reports from all over the great state of Colorado. Follow through to NUFOC homepage, and get more detailed reports, and in some cases, photos and video.

While there, check out the dates on the various reported sightings. Take note of how many of the sightings' dates are clustered together. It's interesting how on certain dates people are witnessing similar objects from locations all over the state.
