I think I want to take a trip just so I can fly into Sea-Tac Airport. Starting this Saturday safety and informational announcements will be voiced by Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie, Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains, Sir Mix-A-Lot, LeRoy Bell (X-Factor) and more.

How cool is that?

The airport is promoting the local music scene in Seattle with the initiative that begins this weekend. On top of the celebrity safety-voices, travelers will also heart music from Ray Charles, Heart, Nirvana and other local musicians playing in the Sea-Tac terminals.

They will also have musical performances in the airport, and a whole slew of other music related additions. Read all about them from the Sea-Tac website.

This could be the coolest cross collaboration since Ice Cube was featured as a voice in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Your next visit to Sea-Tac Airport will come with a free upgrade -- to include the sights and sounds of northwest music.  The Sea-Tac Airport Music Initiative, Experience the City of Music -- a cooperative effort by the Port of Seattle, Seattle Music Commission and PlayNetwork -- will launch this week to showcase the northwest region’s music culture and enhance the experience of millions of passengers who pass through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport each year.
