Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard Filing For Divorce

Katy Perry announced her split with Russell Brand, and now her apparent celebrity doppelganger, Zooey Deschanel, is filing for Divorce from Ben Gibbard.

Deschanel stars in the sitcom 'New Girl' (among other things) and sings in a duo called 'She & Him'. She filed for divorce last week from Ben Gibbard, front man of ‘Death Cab For Cutie’.

ABC News reports that the couple cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their break-up.

The indie-rock dream couple had been married since 2009.

Katy Perry is my favorite pop-stars, and Deschanel is one of my favorite actresses...I must be bad luck for celebrity love.

My condolences and well-wishes to all parties involved, it's always so sad to see the end of a marriage. And I feel bad for 'celebrities' in these scenarios. I can't even fathom how hard a divorce must be, but to have to deal with the actual divorce while the media and millions of fans trivialize the heartbreak they go has to be really tough.
