Monday morning an explosion rolled through a Southeast Fort Collins neighborhood.

According to the Coloradoan, the Poudre Fire Authority responded to 2602 Timberwood Drive around 10 a.m. The explosion is thought to have happened during the extraction process, a potentially dangerous procedure that basically turns the marijuana into a concentrate also known as cannabis oil, blubber and wax.

The residence is part of a multi-unit complex, but the only home to have received damage. However, neighbors did report feeling a jolt at the time of the explosion.

Two men were home at the time and although there was no smoke or fire the home was a mess and a window had blown out into the yard.

An investigation is on-going and charges are pending.
