Popular Colorado Wing Restaurant Temporarily Closed Due To Fire
A popular Colorado wing restaurant and its neighboring cafe had to close their doors at the end of December. If you're a fan, don't stress out too much, they're only closed temporarily due to damage from a fire.
Local Colorado Restaurants Closes After Fire. When Will They Re-Open?
Colorado is known for many things, but the variety of awesome food around our state is something we're becoming more and more known for. One space in particular where we shine is with our selection of delicious wings.
One of the bigger local wing chains in Colorado is Wing Shack. With locations in Greeley, Loveland, Johnstown, Windsor, Boulder, and in Longmont, they've got the northern part of Colorado covered. One Wing Shack location is out of commission for a bit though after a fire.
According to the Voice of Longmont Facebook page, there was a fire at the Garden Gate Cafe in Longmont on December 26th. They posted this on their website:
Due to a fire, the Longmont location is temporarily closed.
Our Niwot location is OPEN and would greatly appreciate your support while we work hard to reopen as soon as possible.
A post from an employee on the Voice of Longmont Facebook page said the fire, caused by a fryer, only damaged the back kitchen area of the restaurant. However, there was also damage to a wall that was shared by the neighboring restaurant, Wing Shack, so now both are down and out for the time being.
We went to grab dinner there over the weekend and this was the sign on their door. No word on the timeline for these Longmont favorites to re-open, but in the meantime, if you're hungry for wings, there are many other close local Northern Colorado area Wing Shack locations to dine at. Speaking of awesome wings... Ever been here?
