Greeley firefighters had their work cut out for them today; they spent an hour freeing a 31-year-old mother who got her bully button ring stuck in the grate of a wading pool at Family Fun Plex in Greeley.

Ouch!

According to The Denver Channel,

The 31-year-old Milliken mom was floating along on her tummy with her child in the increasingly shallow water at the Greeley Family Funplex pool…when her belly button ring became entangled in the drain grate about 12:45 p.m.

Thankfully, the report shows that the woman wasn’t injured and they were able to get the piercing undone without ripping it out.

Just imagine the pain, or the fear that would be racing through your body if this happened to you. Hey, at least it wasn’t in the deep end of the pool!

I had my tongue pierced for a few years back in my college days, but never really had any horror stories to tell.

Getting piercings torn out or snagged on things seems to be all-too-common judging by the number of results when Googling “piercing ripped” or “piercing snag,” but this is the first case I’ve heard on one getting stuck in a swimming pool grate!

Now speaking of piercings, check out this guy! Rolf Buchholz, has an entry in the 2012 edition of Guinness World Records as the man with the most piercings. 453, to be exact.

I can’t even imagine what a hassle it must be to get dressed with that much metal hanging off of him.
