Love Rude Service? This New Pop Up Diner in Colorado is Perfect For You
Colorado may not be prepared for it, but the rudest diner in the entire state is set to open up this fall. Do you want fries with that? They won't care.
Terrible Service Diner Coming To Colorado
Good help is hard to find, especially these days it seems. Even with the best stuff though, it can be tricky to properly manage time when so short-staffed, so the amount of slower service and complaints because of it are higher.
Might be easier to run a place that gave you the exact opposite, right? Would you purposely make a reservation at a restaurant that guaranteed the worst service of your life? You'll have your chance this fall.
Pop-ups are all the rage right now, and another new one is making its way to Denver this September through November. Get ready for "Karen's Diner" to make its debut in the box state on Sept. 17. A "Karen," which all started as a meme, is described as a rude person who you can't ever please and is always looking to "Speak to your manager!" Imagine that rude attitude throughout an entire visit...
The Karen's Diner website explains that "At Karen's, you will be greeted and waited upon by rude waiters who in return are expecting you to give it full Karen. A place where you can complain until the cows come home because we literally don't care."
Included with your terrible service, you'll experience singing waiters/waitresses and multiple appearances by Karen herself, but you'd be wise not to ask to speak with her because you might not like what she has to say, we can almost guarantee that. While the service will be bad, the experience is promised to be one like you've never had before. Here's a taste of what to expect at Karen's:
They also tout that their handcrafted burgers and wings are pretty tasty, so you're sure to leave "unhappily satisfied." With all of the insanity featured above, it's obvious why minors are only permitted before 6 pm. The show seems to get much more entertaining after the sun goes down. Lots of middle fingers and bad language to be served we'd imagine.
P.S. If your name is Karen, they do show you some love with a free drink, just bring your ID. Karen's Diner's exact location has not been released, but it will be in the Denver area from Sept. 17 through Nov. 27. Bookings are required, and each booking deposit will be removed from your final bill. Complaints are encouraged after your visit, so bring your A game, Karen.
