INTERVIEW: Why Scott Eastwood Is Launching His New Beer in Colorado
If you were in Denver earlier this week, you may have run into a familiar face: Scott Eastwood, son of Hollywood royalty Clint Eastwood.
The Wrath of Man star stopped by the Mile High City to launch his new beer, Made Here — a collaboration with Legacy Breweries that is 100% American made.
Considering that over 90% of beers consumed in the U.S. are foreign-owned, it was important to Eastwood to create a product that is truly American.
"For us, there's nothing more American than having a beer...and that's what we wanted to showcase," Eastwood told Townsquare NoCo. "This is truly one of a kind in the sense that it really is, from A to Z, made in America — from our cans, our packaging, our barley, our hops — and that's what we're all about."
Made Here's current beers include an IPA, an ale and a lager. Along with an extensive merch collection, the company also offers a 20% military discount to any former or active duty military members.
While Eastwood knew that the Centennial State's beer culture made it the perfect place for a launch, he still hasn't experience one Colorado staple: a Red Rocks show.
"It's a great state and there's a big beer culture here. [Launching in Colorado] just sort of made sense," said Eastwood. "What I haven't done in Colorado is go to a Red Rocks show. I'm looking forward to doing that."
