Grenade Found During Easter Egg Hunt- Say “What!?”
Imagine this. You are having a wonderful egg hunt for Easter when your 3-year old brings you a hand grenade instead of an egg. This is exactly what happened in the U.K. during a preschool egg hunt. A parent realized that a toddler was standing on the grenade from WWII.
We were beginning to count the eggs up at the end of the hunt and I saw a young boy, around three-years-old, standing on an object. On closer inspection we realized it looked like a hand grenade. It was brown and about three or four inches high. It looked like an Easter Egg. I was shocked - it is the last thing you expect to find on an Easter Egg hunt and the last thing you could possibly want to find with children about."
The police and bomb squad was called in to detonate the old grenade. Luckily no one was hurt. One spokesperson said that the longer that these grenades go unfound the more unstable the chemicals can get. Insert Bruno Mars Song here.
What would you have done if you found something like this? Have you ever found something like this?
