If today's baseball game was any kind of precursor for the Rockies season, it might be a rough one for fans.

Today's opening day game for the Rockies was halted when a fan was hit by a foul ball and had to be taken out of the stadium on a stretcher.

The Colorado Rockies opening day game against San Francisco was briefly halted Monday afternoon after a fan was apparently hit by a foul ball in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Fox 31 reported that the ball was hit by Rockies outfielder Michael Cuddyer. Play was delayed for about five minutes, thankfully she was alright.

[The woman] received a concussion and bruised head. She went to Denver Health Medical Center where she was treated and released.

To make matters even worse for the Rockies, they were shut out by the Giants in the game, 7-0.

Getting blanked and taking out one of your own fans on a stretcher...maybe Rockies die hards should just try and forget about opening day 2012.

Don't worry, there are still 161 games to go.
