Musketeer Gripweed CD Release Party

One of the many perks of living in Fort Collins, besides the beer and the people, would have to be the live music. We just so happen to have a bunch of local concert venues in Old Town alone! So needless to say I was pretty pumped when I got invited to the CD release party for Musketeer Gripweed, a local band sponsored by our friends at Spokesbuzz.

Hosted by The Aggie Theatre, one of my favorite places to hear live music, this concert was a blast. Even though I was not too familiar with their music, I had so much fun just dancing and enjoying the sounds of their instruments. In his opening song he had a steel guitar which sounded so unique! He also added a special touch to his show by drinking what was believed to be moonshine, out of a jug on stage. Kama was right, he is a great performer!

It was also really great to hear the Lindsey O'Brien band, and The Congress. Make sure to check out The Spokesbuzz local music feature every Sunday at 8 pm right here on The Point.

It is awesome that we live in an area that is so supportive of local music, and I am always so excited to be a part of it!
