Great Plates Helps the Food Bank for Larimer County While Supporting Local Business
Fort Collins residents know Great Plates as an event that offers amazing deals while supporting the Food Bank for Larimer County. But the celebration also plays a key role in helping local business.
Local businesses have always been an important asset to the Food Bank. This Great Plates, the organization is excited to support Fort Collins' restaurants as they navigate through a challenging year.
"Certainly, when it comes to Great Plates, it benefits the Food Bank...we appreciate any support we receive," said Paul Donnelly, Communications Director for the Food Bank, in our "Tuned In to NoCo" interview. "But simultaneous to that, we really want to talk about the restaurants, our restaurant partners, who are literally with us through thick and thin."
Nearly 40 restaurants are participating in this year's event, which is going on now until March 14. Guests can either dine-in or use NOSH NoCo to enjoy exclusive specials at their favorite local eateries.
On top of supporting these locales, guests will also be able to add a donation — 100% of which will support the Food Bank.
"We were somewhere around 4,700 or 4,800 new clients just in the past 12 months...that's a big increase for us as an agency trying to support those folks," said Donnelly. "Whether it's through Great Plates or just making a direct donation, we would appreciate any kind of support."
