Good News! Barbie And Ken Are Back Together… Maybe

I had no idea that they even broke up. Apparently they called it quits back in 2004, with a PR rep saying that the couple needed some time apart. The couple first met on the set of their first commercial back in 1961. So, now that the couple has been apart, Ken is apparently trying to get back with Barbie by Valentine's day. Will it work? Probably. Billboards are going to be put in New York and L.A. with Ken confessing his love to her.

I have to say that I was always playing with G.I. Joes or Transformers growing up, so I never really knew the happenings and drama of the doll world, but apparently there is more drama going on there than an episode of 'Jerry Springer'. This at least is a fun and interesting marketing ploy from Mattel, just like the break up was back in 2004. Come on Barbie, Lets Go Barbie! Take Ken back!
