It’s a big weekend at the movie theatres.  Four flicks are opening:”The Eagle”, “Just Go With It”, Justin Beiber: Never Say Never”, and “Gnomeo & Juliet”. Read more for a quick synopsis, trailers, and links for show times.

“The Eagle” Rated PG-13

Stars Jamie Bell and  Channing Tatum. Set in 140 AD, young centurion Marcus Aquila arrives from Rome to unravel the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in Scotland.  Epic battle scenes, I promise.

“Just Go With It” Rated PG-13

Features Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston.  Sandler plays a guy who pretends to be married to pick up women, but now he must convince his assistant to pretend to be his ex-wife after he meets theady l of his dreams.  The preview made me laugh, looks worth a watch.

“Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” Rated G
It’s Justin Beiber, take that for what its worth.

“Gnomeo & Juliet” Rated G,
Is a new animated take on Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet”, but with garden gnomes.  It features the voices of James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, and Maggie Smith.  Seeing as my wife is a middle school English teacher and a Shakespeare fanatic, I’ll be front row center for this one.
