Melissa Bean, the boys mother, waits every day at the bus stop, but last Tuesday she got increasingly worried as her son Aiden as well as his bus never showed up.

The kindergarten student was 'confused' and said 'I didn't know what to do and the bus driver did not care." The substitute driver, who has now resigned, was confused about the bus route and apparently took the children the wrong way.

The boy was discovered crying on the side of the road by a man who pulled his car over to help the child. An hour later the boy was returned by the unidentified man who had two students of his own.

The Estes Park School District is taking the issue very seriously and the director of educational services stated, "Absolutely, (it’s a) very serious incident, something we didn't take lightly, something that we are working to remedy at this time."

The substitute driver as well as the school district have both called to apologize to the mother. And although the event frightened the child his mother has said that 'he still wants to ride the bus.'
